Following changes in international trade models and the need to meet the new requirements of the stone industry, CarraraMarmotec, which is held in the stoneworking center of Carrara, Italy, will have a new look and will be staged every two years. The fair is being reorganized not only to be held every two years, but also to cater more to the world of architecture and design.

Technological innovation and the transfer of knowledge will be important features for the event, with a view to encouraging technology companies to promote and spread their knowledge using CarraraMarmotec as their communication and marketing tool. The first signs of this modernization process will already be seen in the form of new features at the next CarraraMarmotec -- set for May 29 to June 1, 2008 in Carrara, Italy -- while its new identity will be complete in 2010.
